R. Bradley Lambert founded the firm in 1992 with the goal of serving small and mid-size businesses, professionals and individuals in legal disciplines he had practiced extensively through his former law firm affiliations. business, commercial, real estate and employment law.
Born in Flint, Michigan, Brad earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1975 from Saginaw Valley State University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1982 from Wayne State University Law School, graduating magna cum laude. While there, he worked two years on the Wayne Law Review, publishing two articles -- The Effect of the Second Computer Inquiry on Telecommunications and Data Processing (1981), and The Legislative Veto: A Survey, Constitutional Analysis, and Empirical Study of Its Effect in Michigan (1982). He also was appointed to Order of the Coif, and was granted the John P. Murphy Scholarship Award.
Prior to creating the firm, Brad represented commercial and real estate clients in transactional and litigation work for Simpson Moran, Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn, and Louis J. Burnett P.C.. His representation included acquisition of several residential and commercial real estate projects valued at $5 million to $89 million, acquisition of Joe Louis Arena by the current owner of the Detroit Red Wings and leasing retail space at The Gardens, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Brad is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association. He has been a member of the Wayne Sate University Alumni Board since 2001. He currently serves as President of that Board for the 2006-07 year. He was a coach and board member of the Michigan Raiders from 1993-2001. He served on the Oakland County Private Industry Counsel from 1988-1993, including two years as chairman and two years as vice chairman. From 1981-1988, Brad served on the Rochester Optimist Club, where he was on the Executive Board and spent one year as president; he was awarded lifetime membership. He also engaged in a variety of volunteer activities at Oakland University from 1988-1996, including participating in the athletic oversight committee.

Since starting Lambert & Lambert PLC, Brad has assisted in the sale of Tier 1 auto suppliers and a business school; acquisition and financing of the Grand Rapids Marriott Hotel; and formation and representation of real estate, medical and business firms; and consulted and drafted contracts for mid-size businesses. He has litigated several covenant-not-to-compete and intellectual property claims; real estate title disputes; shareholder disputes, including corporate break-up cases; exchange and settlement of claims regarding $4 million in real estate; collection and insurance defense in commercial cases for major clients; and many recent cases of all sizes in the firm’s diverse practice areas.
